Twinkling Tots: Where Little Feet Take Big First Steps!
Our Toddler Gymnastics Program is the perfect place for your little star to bounce, balance, and beam with joy! In Twinkling Tots, kiddos explore movement, coordination, strength, and speed—all while learning how to be part of a class for the very first time.

For over 30 years, we’ve been delighting toddlers with classes packed full of giggles, games, and just the right amount of challenge. We believe that when kids are having fun, they’re learning even more—and our playful approach keeps them engaged from warm-up to cool-down.

Gymnastics isn’t just flips and cartwheels (though those are fun too!)—it builds the foundation for all sports. Whether your tot is headed for the Olympics or just learning to leap, they’ll gain balance, body awareness, and confidence that lasts a lifetime.

Class Descriptions

All of our Parent and Child classes are held upstairs in our tot gym full of equipment made specifically for our little stars!

Baby Dippers

This class is an introduction to gymnastics where children develop and advance their foundational gymnastics skills. Children learn gross motor skills, how to follow an obstacle course, as well as basic skills on floor, balance beam, and bars. This class is held upstairs in our tot gym full of equipment made specifically for our little stars!

Little Dippers 1

Children in this class learn the fundamentals necessary to begin back rolls on a wedge mat, backbends, cartwheels, general bar strength, walking on a medium height beam, and so much more! This class is held upstairs in our tot gym full of equipment made specifically for our little stars!

Little Dippers 2

This class is held in our main gym.  Children in this class will work to increase their confidence and form on beam, as well as continue progressions from the basic floor and bar skills learned in Little Dippers 1.

Big Dippers

This class works on perfecting the same skills as Little Dippers 2, as well as introducing some new skills. Your Big Dipper will start working towards more backbend skills and you will see more of an emphasis on working independently.

Gym Stars Girls / Gym Stars Boys

This class was created for students who have met all skill milestones for Big Dippers. This is the first level in the Tots Program that girls and boys are separated to concentrate on the skills/apparatus they will need in the pre-competitive levels. Both classes will focus on strength, body positions/alignment, and perfecting skill techniques.

*Students must be evaluated by a Flying High Instructor before being placed in this level.

Mini Stars Girls / Boys

Students in this class have risen to new heights of achievement mastering all of the Gym Stars skill benchmarks. Students will learn front limbers, flip-flops, more difficult bar skills, high beam skills for girls, rings skills for boys, and much more!

*Students must be evaluated by a Flying High Instructor before being placed in this level.

Mini Team Girls

Each student will continue to work on perfecting basics while also working on technique, strength, and body positions. This class will incorporate a combination of skills from our Recreational Intermediate Level Class and our Competitive Pre-Team. Gymnasts, at this level, will be preparing for our Shooting Stars Competitive Program.

Tot Tumble

Tot Tumbling is a great class for children who are interested in only working on floor skills. This class would also benefit Big Dippers and Gym Stars who are eager for extra practice on handstands, cartwheels, and backbend kickovers.

Tots Gymnastics FAQ

Flying High classes run all year long—no long-term commitment needed!
Jump in anytime; tuition is paid monthly and stays the same, whether the month is long or short (it all evens out!).
Starting mid-month? No worries—we’ll prorate!
A $35 annual admin fee is due when you enroll and each year after. (Non-refundable, but helps keep the magic going!)

Not at all! Our classes are grouped by age and skill, so everyone’s working on the same fun stuff.
New students jump right in, and those who’ve already mastered the skills have moved on up—so your child will fit right in and shine in no time!

Yes! We have viewing rooms available and you are more than welcome to come and watch a class in action! We also have a Café where drinks and snacks can be purchased while you watch class.

What if my child doesn’t love it right away?
Totally normal—new things can take time!
For many little ones, this is their first taste of a structured, school-like setting. With a sprinkle of patience, a dash of consistency, and a few repeat visits, most kiddos find their groove and start to shine!

At Flying High, we group by age to match natural stages of child development—but every kiddo grows at their own pace!
Each class has a skill checklist, and once your child masters all the moves, they’re ready to level up—no matter their age.
It’s all about confidence, progress, and celebrating each child’s unique journey!

We recommend leotards for girls—without skirts (they like to get caught on things!). Spandex shorts and snug leggings in chilly months work great too.
Boys should wear a comfy t-shirt and shorts (no zippers or baggy fits, please!). Sweatpants and long sleeves are perfect for cooler days.

At Flying High, evaluations are a big celebration!
When a coach feels your child is ready, a fresh set of eyes (an evaluator from outside their class) will guide them through their skill list to see how far they’ve come.
If it’s time to level up, they’ll ring the bell loud and proud—while the whole gym cheers them on like the superstar they are!

What if my child needs a little extra practice?
We’ve got plenty of ways to boost their skills and confidence! 🌟
✨ Add a second class each week —more time = more progress!
✨ Try a Specialty Class for focused work on skills like bars, backbends, or flip flops—great for fine-tuning!
✨ Need personalized support? Book a Private Lesson (solo or buddy-style!) for one-on-one attention and faster growth.
We even offer holiday Clinics for skill-boosting fun. Just ask the Front Desk—we’ll help you find the perfect fit!

Why is my tot wearing a sock on their ankle?
That little sock is a secret superhero helper!
It marks their “good” foot—the strong one we use to lead in handstands, cartwheels, and other awesome tricks.
We grab socks from the magical white bucket at the start of class and drop them in the black bucket at the end for a fresh wash. Clean, simple, and super helpful!

We teach ALL of our gymnasts to do a jump stick when jumping down from any height; down from bars, off the beam onto a mat, off a trapezoid, etc. The jump stick is a safety precaution that continually reminds gymnasts to land safely on their feet. We teach our tots to jump and land with bent knees while counting to three.

Why does my child get a stamp on their right hand?
It’s a little badge of honor!
We give stamps to celebrate great listening, hard work, and trying their best.
And by always stamping the right hand, we’re helping tots learn their left from right—ask them to show you their “stamp hand” at home!
